Ernesto Baca, P.E., Senior Environmental Engineer

Summary of Experience

Mr. Ernesto Baca, P.E., was born in Peru, lived in Egypt, and has been in Texas since 1978. He has traveled world-wide and is an avid runner. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Rennsselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, NY in 1978 and a Master of Science degree from Rice University, Houston, TX in 1981. Both degrees were in Environmental Engineering.

His main area of expertise is in ground-water engineering. Mr. Baca worked for Rice University after graduation and for Woodward-Clyde Consultants, Houston office, from 1981 to 1985. During this period he worked on a number of sites, most notably the Motco Superfund site near Texas City, TX. He worked on a number of tasks ranging from field investigations to data analyses and report writing. He is the Principal in the firm Bac-Ground, Inc. since 1985 and has conducted many investigations in different aspects of ground-water studies, including ground-water modeling and litigation support. Mr. Baca has also worked in a small number of surface-water projects.

Campbell and Associates, L.P. team, he provides support in the areas of contaminant transport analysis and modeling, and serves in a variety of support functions involving well hydraulics and associated activities. Mr. Baca also serves as Principal Consulting Engineer of Bac-Ground, Inc.
